|AUDIO SHAKER / DEVELOPMENT
January 2004 / Mark Hauenstein & Tom Jenkins
The final prototype used an accelerometer chip to accurately input the relative orientation and movement of the audio shaker. Allowing us to create software that responded to the subtlety of gesture more fluidly.
The design also made an unexpected addition to the imagined physicality of sound. Vibrations from the speaker also give a tactile experience when you shake the sound.
